He who looks outside, dreams; he who looks inside, awakes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You’ve got questions?

Good. I’ve got answers.

  • Absolutely. I use a HIPAA-compliant platform (meaning the platform is secure enough to transmit health-related information privately) created for online therapy or coaching sessions. It is simple to use — you won’t have to download anything, you’ll just click the link in an email to join the session.

  • I meet with clients in person on Tuesdays in a lovely office overlooking Main Street Park in downtown Rutland, VT. It is easily accessible from Route 7 and Route 4E.

  • I do. EMDR is a targeted therapy designed specifically for the treatment of trauma, and it tends to offer relief from distressing symptoms fairly quickly (often within weeks, though this varies from person to person). I have been certified to offer this therapy, which typically takes place in person but in certain situations can be offered remotely as well.

  • Both therapy and coaching sessions are billed at $175/session. If you are seeking therapy and prefer to use your insurance, I am in-network with Optum/UnitedHealthcare/UMR and Harvard Pilgrim. Note: If you work at the GE factory in Rutland, your insurance is BCBS but behavioral health (including therapy) processes through Optum so I am an in-network provider for you.

  • As you might expect, this is very different for different people. If you imagine your inner self as a home, some people come to me because they want help clearing off the kitchen table; others want to redesign a whole room; and others want a top-to-bottom renovation. How long it will take to accomplish your goals depends on what you are hoping to accomplish. If timeline is a concern for you, use the contact form to reach out and we can discuss your particular situation.

  • I offer therapy only to individual adults who are in the state of Vermont at the time of service. I offer coaching to individual adults anywhere in the country (even New York!).

  • If I haven’t answered your question, use the contact form to let me know what’s on your mind. I’ll reach out and we can discuss your concerns.
